Injuries in sport can involve muscle, ligaments, or bone, with stress fractures being somewhat unique to sports and overuse. The main goal in sports rehabilitation and conditioning is to return athletes to sports in the condition they were prior to injury in physical and emotional levels. Prevention is also an important aim in rehabilitation. Physical therapists need to have an end goal in mind based that is specific to each athlete’s condition.
Athletes are always at risk of minor and serious injuries due to the nature of sports. That does not mean that they should end their athletic careers. Our Quinn Physical Therapy PA: John Quinn MSPT staff help athletes keep enjoying their passion by building strength, flexibility, and improving balance through our sports rehabilitation and conditioning program.
